How To Disable Keyboard Vibration When Pressing The Text On Android Phones

We have already talked about deactivating other vibrations of Android, but there is one that is not deactivated with this and that of the keyboard .

The battery of our mobiles is somewhat limited and this we all know. The fact of deactivating any extra of our Android, can make the battery last much longer.

It turns out that on Android, we can choose different keyboards. Some come as standard and are in several languages, others only come with one or more terminal models and others can be installed by us, but that is another story that we will talk about on another occasion.

The Reasons Why You Should Disable Vibration

There are many reasons why I recommend that your keyboard does not vibrate every time you press it, but I tell you what I think.

On the one hand because it is a silly battery consumption, since every time you press, it vibrates. Have you thought about the times you press every time you write a WhatsApp message to someone?

I already tell you that if you remove it you will save a lot of battery, because the motor that has inside to create that effect is not that it consumes precisely little.

But in addition to this I find it very annoying . I don’t like that the phone doesn’t stop vibrating over and over again.

So from my point of view I have it clear and it is one of the first things I do when I buy a new terminal.

How To Disable Keyboard Vibration?

Each keyboard has its own configuration and is totally independent from the system. I do not understand, because you have to keep vibrating the keyboard, if in the sound settings, we have disabled any vibration when you press. But it is what it is and we have to configure the keyboard manually.

For this you go to the Android settings from the gear wheel icon that you find in the applications or in the notification bar.

In my case I use a Huawei p9 Lite and if I go down to the bottom an option appears that puts advanced settings , so go into it and then enter language and introduction .

Now you will see various keyboard settings and the default one that is the one you are currently using. So what you have to do is enter the default keyboard and in my case it is the Gboard.

Once inside you have to enter where it sets preferences to change the settings and then on that screen you scroll down until you find the option that vibrates when you press the key to deactivate it.

Once you turn off this option it will no longer work again, but beware, only with this keyboard . If at any time you change the default you will have to adjust it too.

With this type of thing I find it a little difficult to explain it, because each one has a different mobile model and each one has a personalization. But the steps are what I have mentioned.

If you are one of those who wait “to watch the movie” instead of the book, we leave you a video in which we explain it better.

Does Keyboard Vibration Bother You?

I hope you liked the tutorial and have managed to remove this annoying function, although of course, each will have their tastes and preferences.

We want to know your option about it or in case you can’t find it, leave us a comment and we will try to help you with it.
