This deduction is available for a maximum of 8 years or until the interest is fully repaid, whichever is earlier. Contributions to the National Pension System (NPS) are eligible for deductions under Section 80CCD. Section 80U allows individuals with disabilities to claim deductions, with higher limits for severe disabilities. Additionally, Section 80DD provides deductions for individuals with dependents with disabilities, covering medical expenses, rehabilitation, and maintenance costs.
The Income Tax Act offers deductions under Section 80IAC and Section 80-IC to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation. These provisions provide tax benefits to eligible start-ups and industries established in certain specified areas.

Employees receiving House Rent Allowance (HRA) can claim exemptions on the rent paid for their accommodation. Employees can avail of exemptions on Leave Travel Allowance (LTA) for expenses incurred on domestic travel. The exemption can be claimed for travel expenses incurred for the employee and their immediate family members, subject to certain conditions and limitations.
